Hi everybody!
Leslie here, I thought I would finally make my post on 'Out Lesbian'.
I consider myself an "out Lesbo". I have been out since about 1976. I was about 17 at that time I realized I prefer women in my life, hands down. Oh how freeing it was to realize, I didn't have to have a man in my life. The older dykes of that day told of scary tales. Tales of mental institutions that would perform shock treatments on women identified women. Women that had nothing wrong with their minds or identity were lobotomized in an effort to make them forget about their feelings for other women. This was the 1970’s people! I personally knew two such women one went by the name of "Sappho" and the other went by the name of "Cricket".

I honor all those lesbians who came before me. Lesbians who fought for what they believed in, Lesbians who gave their lives for the right to Love whom they wanted. These Brave Souls are the backbone of the of the women's rights movement (which by the way has been asleep ever since the defeat of the ERA amendment. We still do not have equal protection under the law.). These women, these Dykes are My heroes. So my message to anyone that is not Out of the Closet for what ever reason(s) you may have. My message to you; To deny your woman to woman attraction, to sneak to your private rendezvous, is to aid this homophobic society in keeping us down. Out of sight, out of mind, NOT.

We are everywhere. Come Out; Come Out where ever you are. You are a person of honor, fight for what is your right. Step Out into the Life that you know to be.
