Anna Klimaszewski, (pronounced Kleemashevski) M.F.T. (marriage and family therapist) was born in Danzig, now known as Gdansk, Poland, during the second World War. After living in a refugee camp in Denmark for six years Anna and her mother immigrated to San Francisco, California. In 1975 she moved to Sonoma County just north of San Francisco to attend Sonoma State University, where she got her B.A in psychology in 1977. In 1984 she applied and was admitted into the Graduate Counseling Program also at Sonoma State University and graduated from there in 1986. The speech was published in the Enlighten Journal.Anna did an internship at the Drug Abuse Alternatives Center where she created a 7-week educational seminar on co-dependency which she taught for 3 years to the general public. She also did a group for the "dually diagnosed" and spoke at the D.A.A.C. Conference in the summer of 1988 on therapist responsibility to this population. Her knowledge in all manner of addictions is extensive. A second internship was done with Sonoma County Mental Health in both the in-patient and out-patient settings.
She worked there from 1984 to 1987 learning about the thought disorders as well as personality and mood disorders.In 1989 she started a private practice in Santa Rosa, California where among other things she: served as clinical supervisor for Women Against Rape from 1992 to 1994; taught psychology and environmental science at Heald College in Santa Rosa; served on the speaker panel for the Sonoma County Commission on the Status of Women and did some public speaking for Pacificare Behavioral Health as well.
She has created workshops on such topics as communication, empowerment for women and cathartic journaling which was presented to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital and got rave reviews.

Anna currently resides in Mt.Shasta, a rural mountain community in Northern California where she offers intensives in anger release/dignity retrieval work.Anna has found the perfect place to hold intensives; surrounded by the natural rugged beauty of the area wherein a few minutes time it is possible to find a lush green setting to be alone with one's feelings and thoughts; away from the many distractions of toady’s world.To learn about anger release / dignity retrieval work click on "anger release".
